For Luke Slottow, the wildest adventurer and free spirit in my family, with the exception of his son, Derk Slottow. May they both ride the biggest rapids in the sky and inspire us to live big, until we meet again!
The title of the song comes from the TV series "The Rifleman," from which Uncle Luke borrowed his new name upon moving to Colorado. He used to be named Michael, but there were too many of those.
